Weekend update #1

This week has been very productive for me!

The most important update is that I finally registered this domain and started this website! Here's a picture of one of my many cats looking super excited (?) for me.

The second thing I finished this week is the Smothered Ember shawlette. This was a great experiment on working with my new Navajo spindle.

Since it was the holidays and I had two whole days to myself before I had to travel for family I also finished the Lazy Ewe scarf.

Now let's talk about projects I started this week.

One of the projects is the remainder of the dorset fleece (same fleece that I used for the Laze Ewe Scarf). I dyed it and removed most of the lanolin. There are still lots of plant matter to be cleaned out before I can make it into an art batt (for spinning, or for my store).

Another project is a pattern design that I started. This is going to be a triangular scarf for my boyfriend's sister (who is giong to college next year). The yarn I used is acrylic so it will be easy to care for. Don't worry yarn snobs, it was expensive acrylic so it is super soft.
